“CASA SLAMP” BY THE DESIGNERS OF SLAMP, DRAWING WITH LIGHT ON PAPER
“Our eyes are made to see forms in light; light and shade reveal these forms, the image of these is distinct and tangible within us without ambiguity. It is for this reason that these are beautiful forms, the most beautiful forms”. Here is a phrase by Le Corbusier to define architecture as a skillful, rigorous and magnificient game of volumes assembled in light.
Similarly the creative team of Slamp, a brand active since 1994 in collaboration with the greatest International designers, has given form to the silhouettes of the latest collection by Zaha Hadid, Nigel Coates (creative director of the brand since 2007) and young talents Zanini de Zanine and Adriano Rachele. The designers were given free rein to combine some of the new lamps with furniture pieces in paper and cardboard that they designed themselves.
