PHOTOGRAPHIC SERIES ‘THE SUM AND ITS PARTS’ BY TARA CRONIN
What unites and separates people? All it takes is a small sign on the body, some simple makeup on a face. But also a badly hidden mood can create bridges or spaces. For photographer Tara Cronin there exists a hidden rhythm, that beats on the skin of each person, a rhythm made of flesh, bones and nerves, a mirror of our memories, fantasies, anxieties, dreams and desires. A world of possible ties.
Her latest photographic series, “The Sum And Its Parts”, speaks of just these themes. And of how a small change in perspective is sufficient to allow us to perceive reality, which only apparently resembles what we know.
