A Break Out Of A Designer’s Brain
Have you ever wondered how designers, who look and behave just like any other normal human being, manage to create such sublime beauty by taming Photoshop? Yes, it is really tough to believe that how come designers come up with such creative brilliances that make people say WOW in disbelief. Of course, they are just any other normal human being. But what about their brains? Are they any different from the brains of the normal human beings? Well, in case you are curious, here we are going to discuss how brains help designers create sublime beauties -
The Brain Dominance Theory:
Much has been heard and read about the right and the left brain, and that the each hemisphere functions differently. According to the recent studies, when it comes to the brain functioning, the brain dominance is a ‘myth’, because the hemispheres work together for a function. But still, the dominant characteristics in an individual are decided to a great extent by the hemisphere that dominates.
The Hemisphere Dominance influences the learning styles. The cerebral cortex is the part of the brain that houses rational functions. The two hemispheres are connected by a thick band of nerve fibres that process the information back and forth. The left side of the brain is more sequential and order oriented in its functioning, while the right part is more holistic, visual and random in nature. Most people tend to have a dominant side. It is more due to the preference, rather than absolute. Whenever a study is new or difficult, a person tends to learn in a specific way. This makes the learning style dominant, and thus the associated hemisphere dominates over the time.
A Designer’s Brain and Technology:
Clearly, a designer works out of the routine. He does not falls very well into the category of orderly and pattern oriented, rather, he is random in nature. His mind wanders wherever he can seek the art. Even, in the world of Technology, his designer brain keeps manipulating till there is no more scope left. And yet, he finds another scope! His mind is full of ideas that keep a continuation on the series of versions in the web applications. He loves innovations that fill the market with the new products. He may not understand the back end of the programming, but his front end designs are sure to get noticed.
It is not for no reason that the companies are thriving for the web designers. It is also a recorded fact that these designers often change between the Organizations, as their wandering minds keep looking for new and ever changing challenges. And we have witnessed the same in our organization WebArts, a Web Design Agency in Cyprus.
An Eye for Art:
The web is full of tests, both psychological and emotional; to identify which part of one’s brain dominates. That however takes a back stage, because a designer will be noticed anywhere as a person with a unique eye for appreciation. He might be seen pointing out the most normal things, that he may look most crazy. Or, he may be feverishly writing about the dullness in the class, when everyone else is busy taking the notes. But a mind is a mind. It relishes on what it likes to see, to persevere to think about.
Fortunately, since the brain dominance is preferential and not absolute, the designers are faring very well when it comes to coding and programming. A little understanding and they add the colours to a very dull and bland subject. There are plenty of ideas to choose from. After all, the creator of the brain is the greatest designer of all times!
