Enterarchitecture: Aldrich Residence
Australian firm enterarchitecture has completed ‘aldrich residence’ in perth, western australia. The house is a response to the surrounding landscape, echoing the movement of the nearby body of water and the slight topographical undulation. Both of these shapes can be seen in the concrete, was developed using a computer-aided terrain modeling program. The form is a non-parallel extension of the landscape below, digitally enhanced to provide accurate volumes depending on the the spacial requirements underneath. The layout of the residence is made to allow light to wash over the concrete surface. This exposes the subtlety of the material and the piece’s slight curves.
